About Superbloom
In 2017, I became a parent. I have never been more hungry, both physically and emotionally, in my life. I craved healing foods as much as I desired companionship and connection. Deep down, I knew that I couldn’t be the only one having this experience. This body and soul-appetite inspired my journey toward becoming a postpartum doula in 2018, a certified lactation counselor in 2019 and an Ayurvedic doula, or Ayurdoula, in 2020. In 2021, I trained to become a birth doula in order to support some very dear friends as they became parents. I fell in love with the mystery, reverence and power of witnessing and supporting labor so I continued to offer my support as new and vibrant families found their way to me. I continue to seek out and integrate new modalities of healing, connection and nourishment and believe that there is no mastery in this world of birthwork only evolution driven by curiosity.
My experience, thus far, has supported my belief that mothers and birthing people are the most powerful beings on Earth.
Their influence, intuition and capacity for creation is simply unparalleled. My calling to serve feels ancient, sacred and so deeply enriches my life. At it’s core, Superbloom is about restoring the sacred act of becoming a parent . Amidst a culture focused on comparison, competition and independence, my desire is to provide a sacred space for you to connect, grow and bloom in this new identity. A Superbloom is a natural phenomenon that occurs when seeds, long gone dormant due to harsh conditions, burst to life in a gorgeous display of color. This feels like such a beautiful metaphor for what I hope to bring about in my own small way. A thriving, diverse and robust community where there once was none.
I believe that all parents and all families deserve support.
It is an honor to walk alongside you regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. All are welcome here.
